This Shipping Policy explains how we pack, ship and deliver your orders within India. Because we sell fresh, perishable sweets prepared in small batches, we follow extra care and special shipping rules to ensure your sweets arrive fresh and delicious.
1. Order processing & cut-off times
- Order confirmation: Orders are confirmed immediately after successful payment or COD acceptance. You will receive an order confirmation email/SMS with your order number.
- Processing time: Most orders are processed and dispatched within 24–48 hours (1–2 business days) of order confirmation.
- Same-day dispatch: Orders placed before 2:00 PM IST for selected local/metro delivery pin codes may be dispatched same day, subject to stock and capacity. Orders placed after the cutoff will be processed next business day.
- Peak & festival season: During festivals and peak seasons processing may take 48–72 hours. We will notify you at checkout if delays are expected.
2. Shipping methods & transit times (estimated)
Transit times below are estimates after dispatch and exclude processing time. Actual delivery time varies by courier partner, route and local conditions.
- Local / Metro (same city) — 1 business day (where available)
- Within state (intra-state) — 1–3 business days
- Inter-state (major cities) — 2–5 business days
- Remote / hilly areas — 3–7 business days (may be longer depending on access)
- Express / Chilled Delivery (recommended for delicate perishable items) — 24–48 hours (additional charge applies)
Note: For highly perishable items (e.g., fresh sweets requiring chilled transit) we strongly recommend choosing Express / Chilled Delivery when available.
3. Shipping charges & free shipping
- Standard shipping charges vary by location and order weight. Typical charges are ₹50–₹250 depending on pin code and order size. Exact shipping charges are calculated at checkout.
- Free shipping for domestic orders above ₹999 (or insert your preferred threshold) — applicable to standard shipping only and subject to availability.
- COD charge: Cash-on-delivery orders incur an additional charge of ₹50 (or your set COD fee).
- Express / Chilled packaging surcharge: For chilled/insulated packaging and priority courier, an extra charge (e.g., ₹99–₹299) may apply. This fee covers insulated boxes, gel packs and faster courier service.
4. Packaging & temperature control
- We pack sweets in food-grade, hygienic packaging with tamper-evident seals.
- For items that require temperature control, we use insulated boxes and gel/ice packs to maintain freshness during transit.
- Packaging is designed to protect delicate sweets from crushing and to maintain product quality for the expected transit time. Customers ordering in extremely hot regions or for longer transit times should choose Express / Chilled Delivery.
5. Delivery process & your responsibilities
- The courier will attempt delivery to the shipping address provided. Please ensure that the shipping address, PIN code and phone number are correct and reachable.
- Delivery attempts: We make up to 3 delivery attempts. If we cannot deliver and the package is returned to us, return/shipping fees and restocking charges may apply (see Section 9).
- Acceptance & inspection: Please inspect the package at the time of delivery. For perishable items, check product condition, temperature and packaging integrity before accepting if possible. If there is visible damage, spoilage or tampering, refuse delivery and inform us immediately (email/support chat) with photos. See our Return & Refund Policy for claim procedures.
6. Tracking your order
- Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number by email/SMS. Use the tracking ID on the courier partner’s website or the tracking link sent to you.
- If tracking does not update or shows exceptions (delay), contact support@devbhoomiwala.com with your order number and we will follow up with the courier.
7. Shipping exclusions & serviceability
- We currently ship within India only. International shipping may be offered later — contact support for custom international requests.
- Some remote or high-altitude PIN codes may have longer transit times or may require different courier partners; shipping to such areas will be shown at checkout if available.
8. Failed delivery, returns to sender & re-delivery
- If an order cannot be delivered (wrong address, customer unavailable, refused package), the parcel may be returned to our warehouse.
- If returned to sender, we will contact you with options: re-ship at the customer’s shipping cost, issue store credit (less return shipping/handling), or refund (less shipping and handling charges).
- Perishable items: Because sweets are perishable, some returned orders may not be eligible for re-shipment or refund if the product can no longer be safely resold. We will handle such cases per our Return & Refund Policy and notify you.
9. Lost or damaged shipments
- If your order is lost in transit or delivered damaged, contact us immediately at support@devbhoomiwala.com with your order number and photos (if damaged).
- We will investigate with the courier partner and aim to resolve within 7–14 business days. If the claim is approved we will offer a replacement, refund or store credit depending on stock and circumstances.
10. Change of address / corrections after dispatch
- Please ensure the correct shipping address at checkout. If you need to change the address after order placement, contact us immediately. If the order is not yet dispatched we will update it. If already dispatched, changes may not be possible and may result in failed delivery or return-to-sender.
11. Bulk, corporate & pre-ordered shipments
- Bulk & corporate orders may have different lead times and shipping arrangements. For large orders, we will agree on shipping schedules, courier type and packaging before confirmation.
- For pre-orders, shipping windows are specified at the time of purchase. We will dispatch within the promised shipping window; if there is any delay we will notify you.
12. Customs, duties & taxes (if international)
- Currently we ship domestically within India. For future international shipments, any customs duties, import taxes or fees are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.
13. Liability & force majeure
- DevBhoomi Wala is not responsible for delays or failures in delivery caused by events outside our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, courier disruptions, weather, government restrictions, or road closures. We will make reasonable efforts to inform customers of delays and provide options.
- We are committed to taking reasonable care in packaging and selecting delivery partners, but cannot guarantee transit speed during exceptional circumstances.
14. Packaging disposal & allergy note
- All packaging materials are recyclable where possible. Please dispose of gel packs and insulation materials per local recycling rules.
- If you or the recipient have food allergies, check product ingredients and labels before ordering. We do not accept liability for allergic reactions if allergens were properly declared in the product listing.
